Term 1 Week 2 Outing: Palm Beach & Manly Wormhole

Meeting Location: Wynyard Station (Exit 1 at Concourse Level)

Description:  

Been in Sydney for a few weeks now but not managed to leave the City centre? Escape to the beaches with us.

This Week, UNSW PhotoClub brings you up the coast of Sydney to Palm Beach on the Northern-most point of the Northern Beaches Peninsula. Come explore the historic Barrenjoey Lighthouse built in 1881 and enjoy sweeping panoramic views of where the Tasman Sea meets the mighty Hawkesbury River which hems Sydney in from the North.

After this, have a quick picnic (bring your own snacks and drinks) with us at the picturesque Governor Phillip Park before we get transported through a different dimension (figuratively) through the Manly Wormhole, a beautiful natural tunnel opening up to the ocean.

Finally, catch the famous Manly Ferry with us back to Circular Quay during Golden Hour and see all the City’s famous landmarks lit up during Golden Hour in a way that you’ve never seen before and enjoy the sunset.

Items to bring: 

• Camera - DSLR, MILC, Compact, Film, Mobile, as long as it takes pictures! (DSLR & MILC are preferred) 
• Comfortable pair of walking shoes 
• Water and snacks 
• MASKS!!! Highly recommended on Public Transport
• Opal Card with enough money 
• Sunscreen, Hat, Sunglasses 

This event is FREE but due to limited space, we will require you to sign up to secure your spot and let us know of your availability as a part of our COVID-19 infection control measures.
